Product information "Fin Super (aerosol)"

  • Premium Quality, Multi-Purpose Oil Lubricant
  • Water Resistant Oil
  • Long-Lasting Anti-Corrosion Protection
  • Outstanding Penetrating Qualities and Lubricity
  • Will Not Attract Dirt, Dust and Other Abrasives
  • Doesn’t Stain and Leaves No Residue
  • PFAS Free

Universal dry film fortified with Interflon’s MicPol® technology. As a dry lubricant, Fin Super leaves a clean, dry lubricating film that does not drip, stain, adhere to dust or dirt and provides a long-term protection against moisture and corrosion. Due to the MicPol® technology, Fin Super has excellent cleaning, lubricating and protective qualities. Fin Super penetrates, dissolves dirt, expels moisture lubricating better and up to 10 times longer than conventional oils.

Application areas

Suitable for cleaning, removing rust and corrosion. For the lubrication of chains, cables, housings, cylinders, spindles, hinges, shafts, rods, locks, tools, valves, sunroofs, measuring equipment, door seals, weapons etc. Excellent replacement for lubricants with MoS2 or graphite and silicon spray.

Instructions for use

Shake before use. Parts should be cleaned first with a solvent or alkaline cleaning agent. Spray Interflon Fin Super (aerosol) onto parts such as cables and chains and allow to penetrate. Wipe off the excess lubricant with a clean cloth. Note: Do not use too much Interflon Fin Super (aerosol). Applying a thin layer, with occasional re-lubrication, gives a better result than a thick layer.

What is MicPol® technology

MicPol® technology is Interflon’s patented technology that strengthens and improves the original properties of the lubricants. MicPol® is a combination of micronisation and polarization. Micronisation is a unique process where components of the lubricant are reduced in such a way that they can penetrate all pores and sub-pores of a surface to be lubricated. Polarization is the components that are charged during the production process. This ensures a unique adhesion to the surfaces to be lubricated. Advantages of MicPol® include;

  • Longer lasting lubrication (extends PM intervals)
  • Runs at much lower friction than conventional or synthetic oils
  • Dirt, sand and water repellent
  • Lubricant last longer (less oil needed)
  • Better resistance to high pressure and loads

FAQ

Dry oil lubricants are products that are characterized by their ability to form a dry, non-stick lubricating film. In Interflon products, this film is enhanced by our MicPol® Technology and provides excellent friction reduction, wear protection, and resistance to contaminants. These products are designed to reduce friction and wear without attracting dirt, dust, or other abrasives, making them suitable for various industrial and food-grade applications.

Fin Super is very versatile and can be used on almost anything that moves. Applications include chains, cables, housings, cylinders, spindles, hinges, shafts, fishing rods, bicycles, locks, tools, valves, sunroofs, measuring equipment, door seals and firearms.

MicPol® Technology is a key component in many Interflon products, enhancing their performance in various applications. It involves the use of micronized (very small) and polarized particles that create a durable, low-friction film on surfaces.

How it Works: MicPol® Technology incorporates micronized solid lubricants (often PTFE) that are polarized. These particles are suspended in oils, greases, or coatings. When applied, the polarized particles are attracted to the metal surface, forming a very thin, dry, and non-stick lubricating film. This film fills microscopic irregularities in the surface, creating an ultra-smooth layer.

Key Benefits:

  • Superior Reduction of Friction and Wear
  • Energy Efficiency
  • Temperature Reduction
  • Protection Against Contaminants
  • Long-Lasting Lubrication
  • Emergency Lubrication Properties

An oil spray lubricant is typically a high-performance lubricant delivered in an aerosol or sprayable form, designed for ease of application, superior friction reduction, wear protection, and extended component life in various industrial settings, including those with food contact requirements.

  • Preparation: Before applying, it is crucial to clean the parts thoroughly. Use a suitable solvent or alkaline cleaning agent to remove old lubricants, dirt, grease, and other contaminants.
  • Shake Well: Shake the aerosol can well before use to ensure the product is properly mixed.
  • Application: Spray Fin Super onto the parts you wish to lubricate, such as chains, cables, housings, cylinders, spindles, hinges, shafts, rods, locks, tools, valves, sunroofs, measuring equipment, door seals, and weapons.
  • Penetration: Allow the product to penetrate into the areas.
  • Wipe Excess: After application, wipe off any excess lubricant with a clean cloth.
  • Thin Layer is Key: Do not use too much Fin Super. Applying a thin layer, with occasional re-lubrication, yields better results than a thick layer.
  • Versatile Spray Angle: The aerosol can be used in any position (even upside down), making it convenient for hard-to-reach areas.
