MicPol® technology - for the lowest possible friction
MicPol® is the signature technology in Interflon lubricants. Developed in-house by our own R&D-team, MicPol® is what makes our industrial lubricants stand out from all others.
How does MicPol technology work?
The name MicPol is a combination of micronization and polarization.
Micronization
As part of a unique process, the components of the lubricant are reduced to such size that they are able to penetrate into all pores and sub-pores of the surface to be lubricated. This enables them to form a much better homogeneous barrier between moving parts (lubricating film).
Advantages of micronization:
- Significantly less friction
- Lower energy consumption
- Smaller CO2 footprint
- Less wear
- Less heat generation
- Longer lubrication intervals
- Reduction in maintenance costs
Polarization
During the production process, all components are given a charge. This ensures a unique adhesion to the surfaces to be lubricated. In addition, Interflon has succeeded in charging part of the base oil as well. This is called a bonding bridge and provides better resistance to high pressures as well.
Advantages of polarization:
- Long-lasting lubricating film
- Longer lubricant service life
- Better resistance to high pressures
- Less lubricant consumption
- Lower environmental impact
- Longer lubrication intervals
- Lower maintenance costs
Practical examples of MicPol's added value
Moisture
When the lubricant is developed for applications in humid environments, MicPol technology greatly improves the lubricant's water-repellent properties, thanks to the strong adhesion and the non-emulsification of the lubricant with moisture.
Pressure
Lubricants that have to withstand high pressures will be able to do so better and longer thanks to the stronger lubricating film and durable adhesion provided by MicPol technology.
Contamination
In environments where dust, dirt and sand can be released, the MicPol technology protects applications longer and better against these forms of contamination, as the lubricants are dust, dirt and sand repellent.
Free from PTFE/PFAS
MicPol technology is free from PTFE (PFAS) and microplastics, does not fall under the definition of nanotechnology, and the ingredients used are 100% biodegradable.
