Greases

A grease spray is a grease lubricant packaged in an aerosol can, allowing it to be dispensed as a spray. This method of delivery offers several advantages, primarily precision and ease of application, especially for intricate machinery or components that are difficult to access manually. The grease itself is formulated with specific properties (e.g., high temperature resistance, food-grade, biodegradable) to suit different operational environments and requirements. Interflon has a range of grease sprays including Fin Grease, Grease OG and Grease HD2.

Form: Oils are liquids, while greases are semi-solids.

Mobility: Oils flow freely and are suitable for circulating systems, while greases stay put, making them ideal for applications where retention is crucial.

Applications: Oils are often used for internal lubrication of engines, hydraulics, and gearboxes where heat dissipation and continuous flow are important. Greases are preferred for bearings, open gears, and components exposed to contamination, shock loads, or infrequent maintenance, as they provide a thicker, more durable barrier.

Sealing: Greases can act as a sealant, preventing contaminants from entering the lubricated area, which oils generally cannot do as effectively.

MicPol® Technology is a key component in many Interflon products, enhancing their performance in various applications. It involves the use of very small and polarized particles that create a durable, low-friction film on surfaces.

The name MicPol is a combination of micronization and polarization. 

Micronization is part of a unique process, the components of the lubricant are reduced to such size that they are able to penetrate into all pores and sub-pores of the surface to be lubricated. This enables them to form a much better homogeneous barrier between moving parts (lubricating film).

Polarization happens during the production process when all components are given a charge. This ensures a unique adhesion to the surfaces to be lubricated. In addition, Interflon has succeeded in charging part of the base oil as well. This is called a bonding bridge and provides better resistance to high pressures as well.

A food-grade grease is specially formulated for lubricating machinery and components in food and beverage processing environments. NSF H1 greases are suitable for applications where incidental food contact may occur, while NSF 3H greases can be used where direct food contact is possible. An assembly grease is a strong adhering, multipurpose grease and its primary function is to prevent common issues that arise during the assembly and operation of mechanical components such as jamming, fretting, rust and corrosion. Assembly grease is used as a reliable lubricating agent for various connections and to ease the assembly and disassembly of a wide range of commonly used machine parts.
